Just a quick note to let everyone know the new Graf black powder has arrived from Germany. I just received a mixed case of 1f and 2f. The cost came to $249.75 total, which comes out to $9.99 per pound. They shipped it for free since i ordered a full case and waived the $25.00 Haz Mat fee for the same reason.
The containers say they are imported by Schuetzen Powder, LLC for Graf & Sons, Inc. and manufactured by Wano Schwarzpulver GmbH Kuniguda, Germany. The containers are the plastic bottles and not metal cans. My shipment is all lot #1 Dated June 13, 2003.
I will let everyone know what kind of quality it seems to be after i have a chance to load some up. I hope this is not just basic Wano powder that has been relabeled with the Graf name on it. The product specialist at Graf that is in charge of the black powder assured me that this powder is being produced to Grafs highest quality specifications, and that testing shows it to be slightly higher quality than Goex :wink: but slightly less than Swiss. The price is certainly right if the quality is as described.
I will not be able to test it for a while as i am soon leaving for a deep sea fishing trip to the Gulf and will be preparing Penn reels instead of loading brass for the next few days. Will be in touch upon return. Quigley 45-120
