My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

I sent mine off on the 5th of Janurary. On January 17th  I got an email from
Remington saying that my frame is in the system. That's the last I heard
from them. Before I sent my receiver off I called customer service to inquire
if they had any 357 Mag barrels available. They said they did, however since
c.s. is in North Carolina and H&R is in New York they had no way of telling
how many people were in front of me wanting 357 Mag barrels. In other
words if they have 10 357 Mag barrels in stock and all of the sudden H&R
gets 20 people sending in their frames in for 357 Mag barrels to be fitted to
them and your frame shows up after that, then you are just s*%$ out of luck.
If that does happen to you, the first thing you will want to know is: When will
they be getting more barrels in? That's anyone's guess. There are guys here
on the forum who have been waiting over 5 months for 44 Mag barrels to
come in. If you don't have a lot of patience and aren't able to be without
your Handi for a while, then you might be in for a rough road. Eventually
I'm sure Remington will get things working better, but right now there are
some issues associated with the move of the factory from Mass. to New York.
