I was wondering what sort of prices you all are seeing for a Savage 16 series (16FSS, 16FCSS, or 16FHSS).

I have recieved one quote on a 16FSS for $550 plus tax. What are your thoughts?

Prices can vary from region to region but I've had good success by checking a bunch of websites that list retail and some of the auction sites before making a purchase. Also it does not hurt to check with some of the local brick&mortar stores to cross-reference.

I have the weather warrior series, fluted, stainless, muzzle brake in 7 mm, mag, pre-accutrigger and paid under $400. for it, but that's been some years back. $550. doesn't sound too bad. What Cal. you thinking about?

Really wanting a 223 or 22-250. Don't know anyone that has one to part with, do you?
