firesights
« on: January 20, 2009, 05:52:09 AM »
Hello,

I am wanting to put some firesights on a Handi Rifle.

The Williams site has listed the "WGRS-H&R" for the rear sight that I want.  I am also thinking about getting the Fire sight Ghost Ring to go on it.  My Question is, which front Firesight do you order to go with this rear sight?  I could not find it in the FAQ.  They do not list one specifically for the H&R Handi Rifle on the Williams site.  Thanks for any info!

Matt

I have Firesights on a 45-70 and a 44mag Handi, I used the Williams Shotgun shorty with a Firesight insert, that's covered in the FAQs Peep and Firesights link.  ;)

This is just a follow up to my original post since the info was not in the FAQ.

I contacted Williams to ask for assistance on which front sight to purchase.  If your rifle measures the SAME as mine, which I suspect all "normal" 22" Handi Rifle barrels will, then you can use this same front sight.

My rifle measures .75" at the muzzle and 1.110" at the point where the WGRS-H&R reciever sight is mounted.  With these dimensions, in order to mount a front Firesight, you need a 3/8" shorty ramp and a .312N Firesight bead.

Hope this helps...

Matt
