I don't want to sound like a know-it-all here, but I'm in the business of helping people with my work. Been doing it for over 13 years and am now Dir. of Operations. There are alot of people getting laid off and will be alot more before times get better. There are programs out there to help people who through no fault of their own need assistance. Low Income Energy Assistance Program, LIEAP, is for help with your main source of heat, you have to qualify by your earnings for the previous 12 months. Energy Share is a program to help with your alternate form of energy and/or your main source of heat if you made to much income to get LIEAP. The thing I run into several times is people wait to long to ask for help, if you get buried to deep, there may not be enough help. Many other programs are out there to help children, families, pregnant woman, disabled and elderly. Food stamps are there to help those who need them as well. Don't give up hope, don't get buried too deep and hold your head up. Things will either get better down the road, or it won't matter. I'm sure none of us will see any Bail-out $, we, and our children, will just be the ones paying for it. If anyone wants to PM me, please feel free. DP
