H&R BC C.U.P Levels

Just wondering what the Max C.U.P level is in 45-70 BC?

What ever YOU can stand!!! ;D If it's a late production BC, the frame is the same frame as that of the 500S&W Handi which has a SAAMI MAP of 60kpsi, max loads operate at ~52kpsi, and it has a larger case head than the 45-70. Needless to say, the rifle can stand more than most people can.  ;)

Not sure about the kpsi....need a conversion to cup..... :-\  .......or is it eqaul to max loads in a modern lever? I just bought the BC new a week ago.

In the 45-70 CUP = PSI for all practical intents and purposes, that's not true for other chamberings tho.

The BC can handle Ruger #1 level loads, I can't thou. ;D

Yeah the H&R 45/70s are stout .. I have loaded some of the hottest data for my little brother and he just loves those Cape Buffalo loads .... Hmmmm I'm starting to suspect him of being a sadist  lol  :D
