10yr old out shoots dad!!

we had a break from the rain so 10yr old son and i went out to shoot the newest 17hmr. got a barrel for my encore 28in prohunter very nice but a little on the heavy side..

so after about 50rds
we had a shoot off encore against the basic savage
Max age 10 used the savage and i had the encore.......


bottom line here is i got "smoked" as he called it.
he hit the orange stickers every shoot @ 75yds about 1inch groups
mine was around 2-3 inch groups.

It would seen that you could use some shooting lessons, from the 10 year old...!  ;D

When that happems its time for dad to tell all his friends how he taught the boy to shoot . how he is a chip off the block etc. etc.
Now don't ask how i learned this !

boshtank, it is great to hear that your 10yr old likes to shoot!...this is what we need the most at this time and especially with this administration, to get more youth involved in the shooting\hunting.

 you know dang well you proud as a peacock..
 my son run me in a distance run ,until i was done in..
i just set back an admired my boy..he wouldn t quit, was what i was most proud of.. later he told me, wasn t much left in him either.. but he wouldn t quit ,an i ll always be glad i did. you just be proud..slim

Thanks guys for the replies....he has a .243 Handi rifle that harvested a 152pd 11point last year and made several local papers.

I am very proud of him! ! ! he is very dedicated to the outdoors,hunting, fishing and shooting

of course both of his Grandpa`s have a huge part in it as well
