I believe Marlin is still making them.

If Remmington starts making the barrels, like they do for their bolt guns
does this mean improved accuracy, lots of folks think REM. is the most accurate
rifle their is.
Just a question, some thing to mull over, don't mean to start a my gun is better
than yours debate.

I think due to their design, the Handis are about as accurate as they can be.

Better barrels would be a real plus, but I don't expect to see it. With most modern firearms I don't bother slugging the bore as every time I've done so I find it is exactly standard, plus or minus 1/2 a thousandth. H&R seems to have a tolerance range of minus zero to plus two thousandths and that is really terrible by modern standards.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

I don't bother slugging bores either, I just go to the range and shoot great groups using factory ammo for the most part.  I guess I'm just lucky.  I've never found this hobby hard or complicated.
