I have had my father's 3" model 36 for quite some time now. It's always been one of my favorites as it was the pistol I learned to shoot with. It was given to him as an officer of the year gift the year before I was born. He recently moved to California and told me to go ahead and keep his 2" as well. It was his backup for many years and as he says, "Saved my life more than once." Needless to say, both are close to my heart as well as fine shooters.

Now that's a nice looking pair of S&Ws. My late wife left me with a M36 Ladysmith and a M37 snubbie. Pretty much the same picture you posted. I enjoy shooting both mine. Mikey.
