ultra slug hunter 12 gauge scope ring screw torque??

quick question

how tight do the top halves of the scope rings need to be??

ush 12 with bushnell trophy 3x9x40 using low rings with 1 allen on each side / 1" wide rings

I got them TIGHT prob toooo tight  but did not squash tube...  is that ok????  it kicks hard and i dont wanna waste another $20-30, to set up and test again!!!!

Depends on the size of the screw, Leupold recommends that 6-48 screws in a ring or base be tightened to 18 in.-lbs. and 8-40 screws be tightened to 28 in.-lbs.
