I'm sure Redhawk1 has already got his name on the waiting list for one. He'll no doubt come telling us how mild the recoil really is and I'm sure he'll get better groups than they mentioned. He really needs a new white tail gun anyway those bullets from the .500 S&W likely aren't reaching the far side of them any more.

When I first started shooting the .357 those 158s at 1550 fps were the standard fare for it. In the S&W 19 6" I used then they stung the hand quite a bit with the factory checkered grips. They also did what they were supposed to when they hit whatever ya shot at. I suspect that they still will iffen ya load to that level but you sure can't buy them at that level anymore.

People keep telling me the 45 LC is an inferior North American game getter, I keep waiting on those deer and 300lb hogs to get up and run out of my freezer, Put me on the list for one.

With all the talk of inferior calibers, I was about convinsed to get my 45 BH converted to a 5 shot 10ga slug handgun ;D. Maybe this will be cheaper.

Sounds like another small advance and far from a leap forward. I have data for my 500 that will push a 700 gn. bullet at 1,300 fps from a 8 3/4 in revolver. They better fortget the standard version and go straight to the mag.  :-\  I think it`s a bunch of bunk to sell us on some thing that will do the same thing what we already have will do.

Your a funny guy Graybeard.  :D ;)
I have seen that a long time ago, it is never going to be a production gun. It is illegal to own one. It is larger than the 50 caliber legal limit.
No the 500 Mag is all I need, as a matter of fact, most of the handguns I have bought lately are less powerful than the 500 Mag.

Now I have found loads in the 500 Mag, that are just to much for even me.. So I have no intrest in the 825 Magnum.

I'm not certain that everyone knows that this cartridge review was intended as a joke, and has no relation to reality.  82,500 psi chamber pressure and .823" caliber are not possible with today's laws and technology.

Yes that was pretty obvious or should have been to anyone who read it. Still I felt sure Redhawk1 would be trying to get his name on the list for one.  ;D

I knew it was a joke, it has been around for a few years now.

Graybeard, I am at my limit with my 500 Mag, I don't need or want anything bigger..  ;)

It is only a matter of time before they come up with a .500 SUPERMAG. You know the round that will do anything any other large caliber round will do but people buy it because it says SUPER! And goes 100fps faster than the stoutest .500 mag round can. Maybe somebody should patent the idea. (no I don't want any royalties).

Man are you behind times, they already have that, it is called the California Super. It is a stretched 500 mag. You can have your 500 Mag re-chambered by Jack Huntington.
I think some of you guys are a few years behind times... :D
