This is cut and pasted from the "Where to Find..." sticky at the top of the forum.  There, the links are clickable.  Wild Imports seems out of business.

I don't know how backed up he is, but "Powderkeg" made me a really nice 2.25 inch mold.

If you want something quick, check the "Do-it" cannon-ball fishing sinker selection.

Rick

I found a copy and pastable version of the "Do-It" chart.

IT SEEMS WILD IMPORTS IS OUT OF BUSINESS AND JT IS ON VACATION FOR A MONTH. JT MAKES A HOLLOW BALL MOLD I THINK WOULD BE WORTH USING. I BOUGHT A FULL SCALE 6 PDR. FROM DIXIE GUN WORKS LAST MONTH. THE BORE SIZE IS 3.42  >:(PAULSON BROS. OUT OF WISCONSIN INFORMED THAT THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL SIZE OF THE 6 PDR. SO THERE SHOT WILL NOT WORK FOR MY CANNON. I CONTACTED JT FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM BUT HE IS ON VACATION FOR AWILE. THIS HOLLOW MOLD IDEA SOUNDS GOOD HAS ANYONE SHOT HOLLOW PROJECTILES?

JoJ,

Wild Imports may be gone, but Osvaldo Gatto their supplier is one of our sponsors.  Drop him an email and see if he can help you.

If you bought it from Dixie, what you got was most likely made by Hern Iron Works.

Hern's barrels are generally considered good. I don't recall anyone having anything bad to say about them. I have a couple of them and am pretty happy with them.

I will inquire about the ball mold, I've been speaking to them frequently and they do make a variety.

What projectile diameter should I ask about?

If one converts 3.42" to metric bore size of 87mm, windage should bring the projectile down to 85mm.
