The Ontario MNR is proposing an additional week of firearms deer hunting in zones 64A and 64B. The proposal is on their web site, and they are soliciting input from the public. The additional week would be the third week of November in an area that has only a single week of deer hunting (1st week of November) at the present time. They aren't accepting e-mail responses, so you have to print out a letter and send it in. I'll find the link and post it later.
This initiative doesn't deal with the other zone of concern (63B), but I guess it's as far as they're willing to go at the present time.
The two zones effected have several thousand additional doe-only tags available for the usual $33 fee if you call in between August 11 and 24 (1-800-288-1155).
64B doesn't allow rifles, but shotguns and ML's are OK.
