They've proved to be excellent out of my Handi .45-70, but I haven't tried them in the .30-30 as yet. I think they'll do better than a flat or round nose. I like to shoot long, heavy, conical bullets when I can. The LEs aren't heavy or long, but they work, and should be fine on whitetails. I think i'm going to Buffalo Bore for my .45-70 elk and bear ammo this Fall. I may come up with a better reload before then.
