My son has several tactical / varmint Remingtons with some mighty expensive Leupolds on them, and I have shot a 1000 yd. silhouette target with his .308 and hit all 5 shots. The first and only time I ever shot that far. He regularly hits the 600 yard target with his .223, and I haven't seen him shoot the 7mm Rem mag yet. These are all close hits, not random plinks on the steel. That said, I will attest to the accuracy of his rifles and shooting, but I bought a Savage Model 12BVSS-S in .308 and am very pleased with it's accuracy. I really like the accu-trigger, too!

Dale, Point of Impact was made into the movie "SHOOTER". The movie was good, but the book was better. It's about Bob the nailer, a sniper from the Vietnam era who gets framed for shooting an archbishop. To make a long story short, he gets pissed and a lot of people die. The 3 books are Point of Impact, Black Light, and Time to Hunt. All are a great read.

LOL... Your concise review (of Shooter) is right on and I couldn't agree more with it.  I enjoyed the book but the movie was only so-so.

Thanks for the run down. Dale

Just to answer some questions I dont shoot well any more due to injuries I use to shoot rifles for a living and now my son does he is probably a better shot than me in my best years anyway   The money I have in this gun is mostly betting against it before I owned it and years later managed to purchase it and yes I do win a lot of change with it   I will admit I stretched it a little with the any gun any range statment it has limits just like any thing else I should have said reasonable distance     and by one hole I mean one hole with no connected paper not one hole the diameter of one bullet   this gun is the exception not the rule
