Do you know what you want them to look like?    Start there!

Brownell's and Gun Parts Corp are good places to llok for whatever parts on "on the market,"  but once you isolate what parts you want MidwayUSA carries almost every [same] part as Brownells.

Personally I like the looks of Remington sights - provided they're not too high when done.  "Williams" and "Marble" make a grundle of sight-parts that are not too over-priced (compared to other parts).

For a front sight I like something not too big (certainly not a "pa-tridge" style blade as they are too damn big).  For a rear sight I'd want a simple "U" or "V" notch sight.  Certainly not a buckhorn sight - that I find are distracting.

The Ruger 10/22 has a nice sight set to copy as well as the Remmies.

Do you know if you want a traditional open or a peep sight?  Perhaps something that is adjustable for range similar to a battle sight on a military rifle.  Maybe a tang mount?

Drop by a gun shop that has a selection of used rifles and find something you like or perhaps visit your local rifle range and look around.  Lots of different stuff out there.  What pleases me and would be my suggestion may not work well for you.  I like peep sights with a post front.  Most folks don't but it's what works best for me.  Shop around a bit and you'll come up with what works for you.

Why do I carry a gun?  Because a Cop's too heavy.

I've been using Williams peep sights ever since my first rifle purchase in 1972 but I've got to tell you they've turned to crap in recent years. The friction fit sights like the WGOS don't hold there zero, the screw slots vary in size and I swear you need European screw drivers to use them. They've done away with the little steel locking collars and just rely on screws. Now I use XS sight system receiver sights when I can. Solid steel, positive adjustments. If you order one, be sure to order the .218 aperture because it's threaded for standard Williams/lyman apertures. For front sights, I use the Marble ramp. they're available in .100 and .225 heights. the one for 7/8" barrels is right for most H&R bull barrels and the only cost about $11.00, even at Brownells! They're held on by a single 6-48 screw. Despite my better judgment, I put a  Williams FP on my H&R Buffalo gun and the dang thing hangs over the back of the barrel and you have to kind of fish the 45-70 cartridge under it. It's going down the road in favor of the XS sight systems sight that's made specifically for the H&R. XS also make a high and low model that fit's right onto a Weaver/picitinny scope base.
