Clearly, what the world has needed for eons is a Smith with pink rubber grips.

Ken - this may be just the marketing ticket necessary to bring more women into the shooting arena.  Flat black, matt black or camo may be the color scheme that guys prefer and many gals may just have to deal with it but if it takes a pink-gripped 38 to make a gal think twice about getting a pistol or revolver and joining the 'guys' at the range for a little 'can-kickin'', then let's get the paint cans out................

A number of years ago I worked with a gorgeous gal of Phillipine extraction whose husband had tried like the dickens to get her interested in the shooting sports.  This poor guy was always wracking his brain trying to figure out how to get his wife interested in shooting and going to the range with him but she would always say - your guns are ugly, isn't there something in blue or red???  He should have listened to her, and he finally did and had a Beretta 380 shipped off to Duracoat for a 'lovely pink finish'.

Now, here's the kicker.  He gets the pistol back and they go to the range for a quick familiarization session.  She is dressed to the nines in a wicked outfit for a later afternoon outing with friends, small hand purse and heels.  She stands there on the firing line, puts her earplugs in, holds her hand out, he places the loaded gun in her hand, she puts 6 380s into the center mass of a silhouette and two into the head, reloads, places the pistol on safe, drops it into her purse, kisses her husband goodby, hops into her car and goes off for an afternoon social with some of her friends.

He said to me later - I was absolutely speechless.  She was a Paxton Quigley in a Phillipino package and she was devastating.  I will not ever again bug her about going to the range with me, and she likes her pink gun...................... It takes all kinds.....  Mikey.
