Do you by chance know what the twist rate and barrel length was for the old 22 Remington Jet was , the wheels are turning again .   

For some reason I'm stuck on 22 cal. Handi's .

Sorry Stimpy, I don't, but I suspect it was 1:12", the link below shows their barrels to be 12". The second link shows it and 1:14" from TC.

Was hoping that a 1-16 would work as I have an extra 22 mag barrel with a tight bore on it , I know the Jet was a .222 dia. but i could get a .223 expander ball maybe , Hornady and Sierra still make .222 and .223 bullets for the Jet and there is always cast .

I may go ahead and do a 1-16 just to see if it will work .

stimpy, a friend of mine says his Topper is a 16" twist.

 P.O.Ackley's book says that the normal twist for the Jet and Super jet was 16. Some had 14"
