Firearms Deer Application? I just thought today that i have not received my firearms deer app. for 08. Has anyone else received theirs or is the state just behind again

They're due April 30. I can't believe the new and improved streemlined dnr didn't get them out already.

I expect my reg season app in the mail soon. She gets filled out & returned on the same day.
I tend to ignore the Late season and last year there was around 35 of us in line at the DNR on the last possible day of application...I think that their was over 100 of us total.

I just sent in my applications for firearm and muzzleloader and bought my sportsmans liscense and of course all applicable stamps.

I can buy a muzzleloader tag over the desk up at MWA, the day of the hunt and can try and get in on standby in gun season but, standby isn't a gimme so I apply for a Special Area hunt tag for MWA. It's $5 a day for standby even if you fill one day you are legal to go back the next day and try again. A lot of people from up your way come down for gun season at MWA?

Well the App. finale showed up on Monday. It was back in the mail the next morning! I was just about to try the Internet version but I'm old and stuck in my ways and mailing it has worked for the last 30yr. so why change now

I finally got my applications too. I asked why they were so late, I was told the DNR did not have the money available for the huge mailing.

. Filled it out and sent it back in and when I do get the permit it usually goes into a lock box here at the house.

WOOHOO! Got my muzzle loader application today! It's Friday May 2nd. They were due April 30th.
