On my way
« on: April 02, 2008, 05:25:18 AM »
It seems that I am on my way to becoming a handi-holic.  Last week I traded a Henry 22 for a 243 Handi Superlite 20" with 3X9 scope 200 pieces brass, box 0f 95 gr SSTs , IMR 4831 and dies.  This makes number four (243, 45 colt, 45 BP, 45-70/223), good thing I have a couple of young lads to help me use them.

I am surprised at how much fun the 243 is to play with as I mostly like playing with my 45's.  I also have a nephew who is going to be legal for this coming deer season: there maybe a new rifle in his future.

I'm a recent Handi-holic, if you don't believe what it will do to you, ask Tim, (quicktdoo) He's got me suckered in too.  My wife wonders why nothing gets done around here.  All I want to do is put rifles together, mount scopes, dial em in, work out loads, adjust fore ends etc., etc. etc.....all of this, of course, has no bearing on the huge flat spot in the budget that appeared recently.  Thank you Tim!!!  Actually, I love him and would marry him in a heartbeat for what he knows, but the squaw would tomahawk me first, so that idea is out of the question.  This is just a shallow glimpse of what you're in for.  Good luck, and I hope you love the rifle.  Pete
