Would like advice on Quick Detach / Aperture Sight Setup
« on: March 09, 2008, 11:12:43 AM »
I have a TIKKA M595 and I want to set it up with a solid QD mount and aperture/peep sight setup.   Does anyone have any   experience or know sources for a setup like this on on a TIKKA?  I would like to be able to use the TIKKA's built-in receiver grooves, but don't have to I s'pose. I need a basic adjustable peep and most of the Lyman apertures etc are bulky and won't fit..

Thanks in advance..

Try contacting Williams Gunsight Corp. 1(800) 530-9028.  They should be able to set you up.  I recommend the Foolproof, either with or without the target knobs, for ease of adjustment.

Also check with XS sights. They make an aperture sight that fits the Weaver base groove. They may have something that will work. The resident gunsmith there is (or used to be) Bo. He will be able to tell you.
