How smooth was your barrel bore from the factory?
« on: March 13, 2008, 11:57:14 AM »
I've not had tons of rifles in my life, but I notice a difference in how easy it is to get a bore clean between different new rifles.  My Savage, for example, would foul worse even after I'd shot hundreds of rounds through it than my Browning did when just out of the box.  The replacement barrel for that Savage is not super, but it's been pretty good.  My new 527 American cleaned up QUICK after its first firing.  What have you all thought about how easy it is to clean your CZ?  How did it compare to other new rifles you've had?

My 527 cleans up fairly easy.  It is a flat-out shooter, most accurate rifle I've ever shot, also has the best trigger.

I've only put a few rounds down the tube so far.  It was (still!) snowing most of the weekend.  The set trigger is really cool, but at the same time, I'd actually like it just a little heavier.  If I so much as think about sneezing, it'll drop.  The standard trigger pull also needs some adjustment, but the cool thing is we can adjust both things so easily!

:) MZ5;  Now that you mention it.   Cleaning the 527 was easier, or quicker, I should say, the first time, than my LSI PUMA Lever gun.
Never did get that one to come  as clean as I'd liked.
