Whatever happened to Dragon Fire etc?
« on: February 15, 2008, 08:39:10 AM »
About five years ago I saw an ad for various shotgun shells that were clearly just made for fun. One was called dragon fire. There were others. Dragon Fire would shoot a flame something like 30 feet from the muzzle. I thought that was impressive. It might be fun to touch a few of those off at the trap range while shooting at night when the lights are on. Just say something like "pretty hot reloads" to the other guys on the line and watch their eyes go wide as they back away from you.

Are these things still available?

Oh well, answered my own question. How's this for cool? Can you imagine one of those fireballs shot at the trap range? Oooeee! That'd be a hoot on league night!!!! I think one would be enough.

I expect firing just one of those would get you banned for life from most ranges. The fire hazard it would present seems quite serious. Trying to put out the forest fire that would create at our range would not be fun.

That's right. I wonder if there's a lite version that only shoots a 25 yard fireball. That should be OK.

We have several inches of snow on the ground right now, so not much of a fire hazard,  but I wonder what that kind of thing might do to my barrel??
