Well my new .44 and .357 barrels came today. Well actually they didn't come I had to go get them. We had about three inches of snow last night and the brown truck driver said she was afraid to come down our road. I finally talked her into leaving them at a friend's house along a main road about ten miles away as I had to go by there later in the day to get my drivers license renewed.. I picked up the box plus a rifle that the friend's son borrowed for deer season, went on to take care of business and returned home. I had ordered two barrels and two scope brackets. As it would happen they only sent one bracket, although they charged me for two. I'll have to give them a call. I attached the one bracket to the 44 and went down stairs to get rings and scopes. I have a half dozen sets of rings, all of them low sets. Grumble, grumble. I'll have to drive about 30 miles tomorrow to get some rings and another scope as I only had one free one. On the lighter side both barrels seem to fit well and I hope to have the .44 barrel up and running by Sunday as it may be warm enough to try it out. I sure hope it shoots better than the old one I once had. I am really looking forward to shooting these two barrels. Kinda makes the winter brighter.
