Vanguard in 300WSM or 270WSM

  I have a $ 1000.00 gift card and it's burning a hole in my pocket. I am in need of a new Elk/Oryx rifle and have narrowed it down to a Vanguard in either 270 or 300WSM. I will put on a Sightron S-2 3-9x40 on top and just need to kwon if u have either and how they shoot and recoil level of either one. Jess

My vanguard 270 wsm is the most accurate bolt rifle i own, I have not tried any big game  reloads yet, but it loves the 110 grain v-max over 58 grains of h4350 and will just keep making one hole a little bigger with each shot. It shoots the factory winchester power points very well,but hates the balistic silvertips, i get terrible groups with those.
