Sure, as long as the frame was made 1999 or later, see the FAQs for build year info.

Lubeck, I was wanting to ask the exact-same question.  I had searched through a bunch of old posts and still could not find any posts on the Buffalo Classic specifically.

#1  What is the procedure for getting a barrel?  Do you havta send the frame in to H & R?
#2  Does the barrel come with a forestock?
#3  Can you get a .243 with a longer barrel?

Bigoledude,

They are not drop ins so the rifle must go to H&R and the barrel will be custom fit. If you contact them you can get pricing and shipping information. I don't think you could get one with a longer barrel unless they would custom make it for you which is very possible. Additional barrels are inexpensive and I have read they will do a 3.5lb trigger job free upon request when you send in a rifle for a barrel fitting.

Accessory barrel info can be found on H&R's website, a $15 fitting fee per barrel and $10 shipping charge per order is on top of the barrel price, the frame must have been made 1987 or later and any high pressure chamberings (marked with an * on the list) can only be fitted to 1999 or later frames. The .243 comes in several choices, but none over 24".

You also have the option of fittin a second hand used barrel yourself, info on that is in the FAQs also. ;)
