What is your opinion of flocking goose decoys? I have heard of different ways of doing it,but  one of the least expensive was just using hockey tape or friction tape.
Personally I just keep mine painted flat black. But what are your ideas.

I have never tried flocking, but a lot of people talk about it.

My thoughts are, its just another way to get money out of hunters by Cabelas and Bass Pro.   ;D

Flat black paint is just as good IMHO.  In fact you reminded me I need to get my heads out and paint the arsenal before November.

However, I am set for Sept 1st.

Flocking can definitely make the difference on bluebird days but it also has it's disadvantages, the biggest one being that seems like it is high maintenance. For some guys it's worth the effort.
Just another worthless opinion!!
