Silver Bear ammo?
« on: July 13, 2007, 12:03:19 PM »
Waiting for my new Tikka T3 Lite 30-06 to come in, and started shopping for ammo for it. I've thought about stocking up on some cheap ammo, not for regular use, but more for "hard-times" and found a heck of a deal on that steel cased Silver Bear ammo. Do any of you guys have any experience with it? As long as it's non-corrosive, gives some kind of reasonable accuracy, and most importantly, won't harm my rifle, that's all I ask of it. Right now I'm planning on mainly shooting Fusion ammo, if my new rifle likes it.

I would not use it in any of my rifles unless it was an old military rifle. JMHO

I believe that they claim it is noncorrosive, but I don't trust those d@mn Russians.
You need to look into reloading to save money. You can pick up a Lee Loader for $15 and start reloading your empties.
