Can someone recommend some good custom stock makers for grips & forends for a contender rifle? Please include websites if you know them.

This was talked about a while back on a post called "coolest stock set". You can do a search for it or just head back a page or 2 on this forum. I think there were a couple of guys who really liked bullberry sets (www.bullberry.com) as well as a couple of others. I still haven't decided yet, but I'm giving serious consideration to the bullberry set from the recommendations and pictures I've seen. Maybe some of the others can give you some opinions on thiers as well. And be sure to let us know what you decide.

Punch in Virgin Valley custom guns and take a look at theirs. I have a set for my Contender and i really like them. They fit my hand great.

Fred White of Bullberry made a custom stock and forearm out of a 30 year old black walnut blank I sent him.  A masterful job - you will like whatever Bullberry makes for you.

Bullberry makes excellent stocks at a reasonable price.  They make it to your length of pull with no extra charge.  They also make the grip to your hand size, you just send them a outline of your hand.

An affordable alternative if you don't mind sanding and finishing is

www.gunstocksinc.com

His website is pretty basic, but service is good.  I just ordered a semi-fancy tc high comb stock and I'm happy with it.

They come a little long (Mine was >15" after I added a pad) so you can cut them to fit your on length of pull.

Hope this helps.
