Price check: 4" 586 in .357

Hi,
Could you folks give me an idea of the prices on these.
The one I saw is pretty beat up, meaning mars and fairly big blemishes and such on the bluing, slight ring around the cylinder, a little play on the cylinder but no more than on a new 686.  Still, a beautiful shooter and tool for home defense that still screams s&w artistry, blemishes notwithstanding.  Any ideas on price?
Thanks.

Hello
A few years ago, a nice model 586 could be had for around $300.00. Now the Prices of one in Mint shape will often bring an average of $425.00-550.00. I would say if the One you speak of has finish issues a Price of $300.00-$350.00 would be fair. I hope this helps, Hammerdown

if it truely is mechanicaly sound a refinishing will run you about a 100 bucks so id say somewhere in the 300 dollar range. Maybe a tad less.
