Hello all, I originally screwed up and posted this in the lever action section. So I'll post over here too. I was looking for info on a German rifle. The only markings on it are:30/06 DEUTSCHE\WAFFEN-UND, MUNITIONSFABRIKEN. BERLIN. It's a bolt action with a pretty nice stock. I was trying to find some info on it. Does anyone have any insight on this gun?

If it's marked with the DWM name as you say then it's got German proofs on it on the barrel somewhere. The style of the markings can help date the rifle. Normal commercial proofs would include B,U,G,N stamps however I  am not sure when DWM quit making rifles.
