Great CS and turnaround from H&R...
« on: June 27, 2007, 06:24:36 PM »
I sent my receiver and fore end off on 6-12, they got it 6-15, I ordered the Ultra Varmint .223 Fluted Bull Barrel and a trigger job. I got it back today. Man I can't wait to see what she's gonna do.

I figured I'd be waiting 6+ weeks but to have it back in 2 weeks flat I am very great full.  :-*

Been thinking of the same barrel myself. I would like to have one because you can buy bulk cheap ammo for it. Let us know how it does.

A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work!!

I got out yesterday morning (Sat) to the hunt club where we have a 300yd range on a gas pipeline. First let me say IT WAS HOOOTTTT  and humid here in NW Ga and I didn't bring my Shade-tech easy up tent. At 10:30am I had sweat just rolling off of me. Not the best conditions but I went to it. I had already laser bore sighted it so I had it on paper quick at 50yds. Then I dialed it in to 2" high at 100. I was using the cheap Remington 55gn HP from Wal-mart. I put only 20 rounds through it as the heat was just unbearable. I'm really happy with this purchase. The trigger on this thing was at least 10lbs+ when I got it. I asked and received a trigger job and oh boy what a difference. I'm about to pull the trigger on one of those Boyds stocks as this is my long range varmint gun with its 25-06 companion barrel.

I'm very glad I got this barrel.
