handi rifle stock?
« on: May 11, 2007, 08:01:18 PM »
Can anyone tell me the difference in the stocks you can get for these?
I have 3 of these and one stock is different and works for shooting shotgun and the other 2 you have to look from towards the end of the stock to look down the barrel and line up the bead. It is really hard to shoot this way and I want to find 2 of the kind I can use for shotguns. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

I think Shaner has it solved for you Buckmaster; The Monte Carlo has the "bump" atop the stock, thus.. you cannot line your shotgun sights up very well.
The Monte Carlo type stocks are meant basically, for scope equipped rifles.

I don't have access to pics now. What is the name for the stocks I need or are they just plain old normal stocks?

Sounds like you need straight comb stocks. You can get laminated straight grips or pallet wood or synthetic with a pistol grip and if you want to get fancy, I think you can order a checkered walnut stock and forend (Topper Classic Deluxe). H&R sells 'em all at a fairly reasonable price. They show up in the classifieds quite frequently. Hope that helps.

The next is the strait comb with pistol grip

And last is the Monticarlo with pistol grip
