Stratos 176XT
« on: February 03, 2007, 08:17:21 AM »
Fellas,

I'm relatively new to posting in these forums but lurk around often.  I have a question, how can Stratos sell their new fiberglass 176XT for $13,000, fully rigged with a 50 hp Yamaha?  Thats about $2000 less than the same aluminum boat from Tracker?  I don't get it, what's the catch?  Have they gone to laying the hull with a chopper gun or are they still hand laid?  Something is just not adding up in my mind!

Thanks,
Eagle Scout

Maybe it's the high price of aluminum these days?
