Contender grip caps
« on: March 18, 2007, 09:09:05 PM »
I'm trying to find out if there are any sources for custom grip caps to fit Contenders. For such a well put-together pistol, they sure wimped out on the quality when it came to the grip caps (at least where the G2 is concerned). I have both the walnut and the synthetic factory grips and the cap is pretty cheesy on both of them.

I've been thinking of making my own from brass but thought I'd check to see if anything else was out there. Any leads or ideas about home-fabricated solutions would be much appreciated.

there was a guy on e-bay selling homemade caps for the encore not to long ago, was using brass or aluminum and cnc machined out a deer track that he filled with walnut, looked good but was running about 40 bucks each
