Which is more acurate - .460 or .500 Katahdin barrel?

What is the verdict between these two rounds? I am considering one or the other in stainless and possibly Katahdin configuration (20")..

I wouldn't think either one would be more accurate than the other.   KN

Don't be so quick to make this assuption. T/C and Foxridge Outfitters will no longer make the .454 Casull  barrel due to accuracy problems. The .454 Casull, as you know, can be shot out of the .460 barrel and it is not that far behind in potency.

I just purchased the 460 Katahdin barrel and will report back to you.  One thing I did was choose not to use pistol bullets in it.  I am going ot use the 285 gr Barnes ML spitzer boattail I prefer in my 209x50 Katahdin barrel.  The 500 sells more is the main reason companies are in to it.   One point of order if the gun grabbers ban 50 cal centerfires guess what will be included?  You got it 500S&W.

I ordered a .460 Kahtadin SS fluted Fiber Optic sighted 20" barrel today with black composite furniture. It will go on a blued frame Encore. I think this will look awesome.
My reason for buying the .460 S&W is it is actually more powerful and versatile than the .500 S&W. It will shoot .45 Long Colt, .454 Casull and the .460 S&W round. I figure I'll shoot the long colt for plinking, etc. and the 460 for deer. I have heard the 460 is an accurate round. It is just too much for me in a pistol so I figured I'd try it in a rifle. Ohio is considreing allowing pistol calibers in rifles for deer hunting. I have my fingers crossed. I also have a .44 mag Winchester Trapper lever action that would be a sweet shooter for deer hunting.
