New Guy- 17hm2 PIC enclosed
« on: February 25, 2007, 04:54:19 PM »
Been lurking a while, have had a few Handi's in the past. Here is the new rodent killer:

4-16x50mm Mueller, illuminated recticle. Range reports after trigger work and breakin.
I have a habit of buying extremely accurate (usualy high end) guns, hope this one
groups like the rest of my guns:  http://hometown.aol.com/russjerome/images/sniper1.jpg

Welcome to the madness.Nice set up.I have the M2 also.Great shooting gun.Mine likes the Hornady just fine.Shoots the CCI also, just not quite as close groups. It should be MOM(minute of mouse) at 100yds.You may have to move the bi-pod back closer to the hinge pin.So do some don't.Mine shoots fine bagged right where your pod sets.Good luck,Dave

I'm heading to an indoor range today for break in, have both of those rounds ready to go.
MOM, I like that!

That's a fine shooter for sure!! I have a Ultra Varmint in .22 mag and it shoots just like that. For the money there is no better shooting rimfires than the H&R/NEF's.

Hey that's a really nice set-up. I just got home from BassPro with Sportster Mach 2 and I'm looking forward to breaking it in tomorrow. When I decided to get this one instead of the HMR, I wondered how well it would shoot. Hope mine does as well as yours. Dan

I went back to the 25yrd indoor range again this time with a solid bag and just
CCI ammo. I am totaly amazed at the consistancy of this gun, wont bore you
with close range shots but I may just leave the trigger stock! The most impressive
thing was my first stone cold shot opened the paper up for several follow up
shots thru the same hole, no flyers cold!
