When you guys swap out your rifle barrels does it affect the zero of the scope?

It should not as long as you have a scope on each barrel you swap out. That scope is still zeroed to that barrel.  ;D

With most of my barrels it is critical that I tighten the forearm to the same torque each time or I will see a POI shift.  These guns tend to be sensitive to forearm pressure and if you don't tighten them the same you could see a POI shift or an increase or decrease in group size.  I think the guys that are bedding the forearms with RTV are on to something that may help with barrel swaps, but I have not tried it myself.

Thanks for bringing tis up, never gave it a thought, but then again, the different barrels with their own scopes seem to shoot pretty much the same each time I change them out.

I'll have to try that at the range, bring out the torque wrench, should get some more looks.
They are still startled every time I swap out barrels and keep shooting the same gun, the way it is.

They like my "travel kit".

If all else fails, I can always shoot supper.

I use a torque screwdriver to set the forend before shooting, here's a previous thread on the possibilities.
