« on: April 21, 2007, 04:24:10 PM »
Just put a Sims Limbsaver recoil pad on my win. md.70 300 win. mag Sweet! The recoil was starting to bother me more and more, but this pad really took the bit out of it for me.Very pleased with it.

I have 11 heavy kickers mounted with Limbsavers, plus a couple grind-to-fits for rifles I don't even own yet, just in case, that's how much I like em!! ;)

Seems we've all had the same result.....I've put them on every thing from a .243 up to my 45.70!

Are they better than the Pachmayr decelerator?

I agree, there probably the best pad going, but they aren't for every situation. They look good on modern rifles like the Tikka T-3 but are out of place on vintage arms such as a pre-64 model 70.

Sodbuster, I have a Pachmayr decelerater on my 375 H&H. I would say the Pachmayr is a little firmer
and maybe looks a little nicer. Yea the limbsaver doesn't look as nice, but it was in stock at the local store, it fit with no sanding. I did have to drill a new hole in my stock, easy fit other than that. It does work realy well tho I'm happy. Guess I'll have another cup of coffee and go shoot them both.

I'm using the Kick-eze on my bigger black powder rifles. They tame the recoil well, but the rifle seems a lot livelier. It seems to leap forward from the compression. I think all three use sorbithane.  ???
