There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

So I had a Handi-Rifle dream.  Ever since I bought my Buffalo Classic all my other rifles seem like something is wrong with them.  There's something happening here, but I can't figure out what's going down.  MV out!

I know the feeling, nostalgic magic. Am I Quigley or Buffalo Bill? After you shoot a cloverleaf at 100yds with the factory sights you start thinking you could kill any critter on the face of the earth... and you could. Now the fun begins.

hey montana vet:  I think for each of us handi holics it is different, but there is something so quaint and homey and nostalgic about the break open single shot action that naturally leads to handloading for them and that leads to more attatchment and involvement with the whole shooting process and it reminds us of a slower paced simpler time of farms and farming and our ancestores surviving on them by hard work and hunting and using simpler firearms of the time......am i right?????.....and then the more modern firearms seem like crazy teenagers doing burnouts in their suped up hot rods and we like the crabby old farts going "slow the hell down!!!"......is that it?

There are all kinds of handi-holics.
My handis have synthetic stocks and variable power scopes.
Light rugged fast handling rifles.
Hardly nostalgic.
Just simple tools perfect for the job at hand.
No less and certainly no more than needed.

PS I'm only 27 and once had a 400hp s10.

Rugged, durability, almost unbreakable.  I'm hard of guns, they ride on the back of snow machines, 4-wheelers, on the dash of my track rig, on the floor of my off road trucks, bouncing around in the bottom of the river boat, or on the handlebars of my motorcycle.  Occasionally they get to spend a day or two under water in rivers or creeks.  Dropped in snow or mud, even dropped one inside a Moose in about five inches of blood (talk about something corrosive).

Now you know why I originally looked at Handi's, then I discovered they shoot better than most others.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

It's really not all that confusing if you think about it. Let's sit down and design a rifle. I don't want something that sticks out to far in front of me and can be a problem in a brushy situation, so I eliminate the bolt, auto and pump actions. I want something that balances well for carrying all day. Light weight, quick to point, available in a multitude of calibers. If the barrels were only interchangeable with the same stock, now that would be good. A strong proven action, acceptable of scopes, accurate,  reasonably priced. Add to that a good company and an internet forum with great people with stories and advice. If only something like that existed, now that would be Handi.
