I use a Wilson case trimmer. Expensive. If I didn't already have the Wilson I would have taken a .22-250 case length gauge and taken the diameter down with emry cloth and file using a drill to turn it. Then trim the pilot to length with a Dremel grinding wheel. ;D

i actually was just looking at the wilson on midway's website and dont see a pilot/holder for a 20 cal.  am i just blind??

never mind i found it on wilsons website.  thanks guys. anybody else's opinions??

actually the wilson is quite a bit cheaper than any other trimmer at midway and has better reviews than the expensive ones.

Several members have done McLernon's method, I was gonna trim a 22-250 case length guage down with it chucked up in a drill press with a file, but I have a Lyman Universal trimmer and a .22cal pilot, so I chucked it in the drill and made a .20 cal pilot out of it, lots less trimming!!
