Not sure but I think optilocks are a sako thing although they're pretty much the same company. It could be that Tikka's are furnished with cheaper rings initially as you may well know optiloks are not cheap.
I have the same rifle/rings/scope (exept 4.5-14) and the optiloks seem to be pretty good.

The Tikka T3's are coming with Opti-Lock rings now (atleast the ones here at Cabela's are). I personally liked the old rimgs, just the screws were of a softer metal and could very easily be stripped out (I stripped a set out). I say if they come with the rifle, thats $50 less you have to spend, use them. Good luck and good choice on an awesome caliber.

My brand new, factory fresh T3 came with the optilock rings. Apparently, there were enough problems reported with the Tikka rings that they decided to switch to the better Sako rings. The optilocks look good to me. I'm going to take measurements and check the mounts periodically but I don't expect a problem. The rifle is a mild recoil 6.5X55 so there shouldn't be that much stress on the mounts.
