Steyr Mountain Rifle - a couple of questions
« on: February 12, 2007, 02:19:16 AM »
I traded for a one of these a couple of years ago in .260 cal. While looking on the internet I saw where they have adjustable length of draw. I look on my gun and can see holes in the bottom of the stock but can't figure out how to make the adjustments. Does it require a special tool? Can someone help? Also, if I decide to sell it, what would be a good asking price? It is like brand new and been shot very little.

If your talking about length of pull. (stock length)..If you have a prohunter model synthetic stock you pull off recoil pad and add spacers...They snap on..About the price cdnn is selling them for 599.00 right now till stock runs out. Steyr is going through ownership change right now so they are closing out existing us inventory's. The steyr's are one of the most accurate factory rifles avilable and one of the best triggers around. I have found federal 120 grain bullets shoot the best because the twist rate of barrel is 9.5 in my 260 and they seem to stablize better..Steyr seem to go up alot in value..........Steve
