Ideas on optics for 460?

With my gun getting here any month now(feels that way with no news from gun shop)...what would you guys recommend for a scope?  I've use Leupold on my hunting rifles for years, really like their stuff...but that was before the wife, hehe. 

As I've been out of the hunting/shooting scene while I was in school, are there any new manufacturers that are offering good quality?  I've tried pretty much everything, but that was several years ago.  I really like an old Tasco I have on my M77, and I've had decent luck with Simmons.  My old man says I should go with a Burris...but I've had a couple of those go bad on me...

I was thinking to take full advantage of the 460, I have to go variable(At least to 8X, maybe higher)..I have a fixed 4x illuminated Tasco on my contender..and I really feel like I'm limited range wise : /

I have been playing with the S&W 460 Mag since it first came out. I have tried several set ups on them and found to get the max use out of the cartridge, a Leupold 2.5 X 8 or a Bushnell 2 X 6 works great. I don't like the Leupold 2 X or 4 X scopes or any of the fixed power scope. I don't like the Simmons handgun scopes and I also tried the Burris 2 X 8 and did not like it either.

I use a 2x Burris, also had a Simmons  on my 460 15" Encore, both worked well......
