well guys i have one at last.took some doing.i could not be happier.picked up
some american eagle55gr fmj for 5.00 at sportsmans just to make some noise.

Dang, that looks like mine.
I didn't like the bipod on the front sling stud, so I added another stud. I like it much better. Can see mine at the bottom of this post.

Dang, that looks like mine.
I took mine to the range with me today and it performed very well. Three groups of three shots each averaged right below .700". I will take it coyote hunting after this weekend as the .243 gets the first call because of the new load with 85gr Sierra HPBT Gameking.
Good shooting to you .... be patient as accuracy should slowly improve as you fire more rounds through it.

Congratulations! The .223 is one of the better Handi calibers you could have chosen. Great to hear the American Eagle's worked for you. Try some of the 50 Flat Base Hollow Points, if you decide to do some varminting. In my tapered barrel .223 Handi they shoot as well as the Winchester White box .45 Gr Hollow Points, and are usually a couple dollars less expensive.

Well it did till I put Choate stocks on it.You will enjoy it allot,fun and cheap to shoot,and makes a nice walkabout rifle.
