What my gunsmith made for me.
« on: December 21, 2006, 05:27:04 PM »
I wasn't happy with the selection of rings available for my CZ527 varmint kevlar so i took it to my gunsmith and asked him to put a weaver base on it. He decided there wasn't enough metal on the front of the reciever to drill and tap and that anything else would be too ugly. So he made this base out of steel.

It dovetails onto the existing scope bases and is held in place with the two small set screws you can see on the top. I was very impressed with it as it looks a lot better than i had expected.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost and who was the gunsmith?

It was made by Bullseye Precision in fort smith arkansas. He said that if he made another one it would be $125 though he mentioned it would cost less if he could make 5 or more.
