Can I rechamber a 35 remington to .358 Winchester?
« on: February 15, 2007, 12:25:36 PM »
I found an early Remington pump gun in 35 Remington. This is the 760 series gun commonly found in 30-06. Can I rechamber it to a 358 Winchester? It would give me the 358 repeater I want and be very inexpencive. What about the clip? Would a 308 clip work? Shotgunner

Do not take this as gospell, but I'm about 99% sure that you can. In fact I believe that it is relatively easy and many 760s have been done. capt david ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the input. Unfortunatly I missed the deal. The gun could have been had for $200! I should have taken the Sweet 16 I bought as well as the 760. I am sure it was worth $350. I will keep watching, maybe another will come along. I do love the 358. Shotgunner
