See thru mounts IMO, are way too high, specially with a stock made for use with iron sights, which would be the only reason I could possibly want to use see thrus. Way back when scopes were less reliable than they are now, see-thrus were well liked, but I just don't see the need for them now. With the scope rail mounted, I can't even see the rear sight on my Hornet over the rail.
I use medium or high Burris Signature Zee rings almost exclusively, mediums on most, but some scope will require highs to clear the hammer.
