changing stocks changes p.o.i. over 12 in.??????

ok this may seam silly but i bought some synthetics stocks and put on my 445 s.m. <which was sighted in this summer with pallet wood>went to check the zero before season and it was shooting a foot low at 30 yards :o :oi resigted the rifle and it got a big bambi to put on the wall . ;Dbut now i changed back to pallet wood...i wonder if p.o.i. will change??????no to many places for me to shoot any more so i have not run any rounds to find out??????anyone had this trouble before???????/jb

Yup, there's a big difference in how different forends fit, let alone the difference tween a wood forend with a separate spacer and a syn forend with the built-in spacer. If you're stuck on using the syn stock, I'd try changing the forend stud hole so it fits as tight or loose as the wood forend, then maybe it will shoot the same or closer to how it shot with the wood forend.

These rifles are picky.
I had my 223 hb sighted in at 100 out of box.(no oring or anything)
Then my brother shot it 8" high at 100.
Same groups just high.
Finnaly figured out he was holding the forarm different.
