title says it all
want a 6" Dan Wesson
I know I want adjustable sight and a heavy barrel
blue or stainless, don't care too much either way

havnen't done any research on them so I don't know if there are any to look out for (good OR bad models/years)
and what average used street price is

They are usually always available on the online firearms auction sites.  The best prices I have found are in pawn shops, especially if you live in a large metropolitan area, or can drive to one.  357's are far and away the most common caliber DW's found in the pawn shops.
